A born and raised Niagara gal, Carrie is a graduate of Brock University with a BSc in Biology, and then 4 years at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto. On graduating in 1999, she moved to Cochrane Alberta to open the first naturopathic clinic there, and returned to Fonthill, Ontario in 2004, where she worked for 18 more years until the pandemic. Then the CARESTREAM mobile office was created, and she now is at your service from the pond's edge in the super awesome Airstream silver trailer.
She is a volunteer in her community, a regular lecturer, huge lover of plants, forager, sheep farmer, outdoor enthusiast, adventurer, tent camper, wife, mother, and generally optimistic individual!
Carrie is a veteran and she spent 5 years in the Canadian Armed Forces with Lincoln and Welland, as an Infantry Medic. Now her daughter is part of the regiment and carries on the tradition.
Carrie is married with 3 grown children, her youngest at University of Guelph. She has a deep passion for nature and the outdoors, and her kids have been raised by the campfire, with plenty of hiking, exploring, camping, fishing, paddling, hunting, gardening and farming.
A lifetime learner, she is currently working on her plant identification, wildcrafting skills, medicine making and foraging, and someday will share this passion with the public. Free time is often spent in the garden or forest, with her dogs by her side.
"One thing you will learn about me is that I LOVE MY JOB, and it is a TRUE PLEASURE to hear your story and help both you and your family live a healthier life.
What will the future hold? Now with a mobile office, the possibilities are plentiful. But one thing is for sure, I am here at your service."
